RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR TOWNSHIP HALL RENTAL

RENTAL POLICY

  • Individual Township residents.
  • Township neighborhood associations (no charge).
  • Scouts/Camp Fire (no charge).
  • All Groups and/or Individuals are limited to two evening or weekend rentals per year.
  • Governmental agencies associated with Grand Rapids Township will not be charged.
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Room Occupancy:  chairs only - 132; chairs & tables - 72.
  • Renting the hall does not include the park or other Township facilities or equipment.
    -Children must be supervised at all times (inside and outside).

RULES

  • You must be out of the hall by 11:00 p.m. - No Exceptions.
  • Park only in designated spaces (not in fire lane or employee parking lot 8-5 Mon - Fri).
  • Alcoholic beverages, smoking, candles and red punch are prohibited.
  • No tacks, poster putty or tape on walls, woodwork or ceiling.
  • No commercial use, sales dinners, meetings for profit or seminars.
  • No early set-up or items stored before or after your function.
SUPPLIES AVAILABLE
  • Coffee pots: one 100 cup pot, one 30 cup pot, two 60 cup pots
  • Kitchen with stove and refrigerator.  (Renter is responsible for providing supplies).
  • Chairs: 127, Folding Tables: 1 (24" x 48"), 17 (30 x 72), 1 (18" x 96") and 2 – 4 ft round tables.

We are not able to provide other services or supplies – please plan accordingly.

REQUIRED CLEANING AND LOCK-UP PROCEDURES: Check-list provided

  • Vacuum Township Hall & back hallway carpet.  (Vacuum provided)
  • Clean kitchen, including oven and coffee pots.
  • Put away ALL chairs and tables.
  • Empty all waste baskets and put trash in dumpster in side parking lot.
  • Check bathrooms, making sure toilets and urinals are flushed.
  • Turn off all lights.
  • Set thermostat when leaving (turn heat to 65 in winter; turn air to 80 in summer).
  • Make sure all doors are locked.
  • Leave key in night deposit box in pillar out front (labeled "letters").

Failure to comply may result in forfeiture of Security Deposit.
